From puppies and kittens to geriatric patients, preventive care is the best way to ensure a healthy, happy pet!
Our doctors perform a wide variety of surgeries ranging from elective spaying and neutering to complex orthopedic and soft tissue procedures. Anesthetized patients are carefully monitored by trained personnel with the aid of a cardiac pulse oximeter monitor and other special equipment.
If your pet requires major surgery, the doctor will explain the procedure, the risks involved, and the necessary aftercare. An examination and blood tests are required prior to anesthesia. All of our surgical procedures comply with AAHA standards.
Bringing in your pet for a procedure?
Make sure that they do not eat after 8 p.m. the night before their surgery. Just like in humans, the anesthesia used for the procedures can cause a queasy stomach in your pet which can complicate their surgery.
Depending on the procedure, the length of hospital stay can range from same day discharges to two night stays. Make sure that you bring any medications or supplements that they use as well as any special food, treats or even toys. Pets enjoy things that remind them of home. We will properly label them and make sure they stay strictly with your pet during their stay.
